How do I legitimately obtain new Sims 2 serial codes? - serial codes for mount&blade

I lost my flight leaves 2 expansion packs, and activate them with the serial code.

I do not look for third party code, but I wonder whether something or EA Maxis can do to code again somewhere else? I know that years ago there was a policy of scanning CD that demonstrates legal ownership of the game, but I do not know if it still possible?
